D S Khairnar
Founder and CEO
With over 40 years of experience in engineering and automation, D.S. Khairnar is a visionary leader driving innovation at Captron Industries.
His journey began with an MSc in Physics from Mumbai University in 1979, setting a solid foundation for his career in technology. Early roles in quality control and engineering, followed by key marketing positions at Anupam Electronics, Nelco, and Konark Engineers, allowed him to develop a unique blend of technical expertise and strategic insight. In 1999, D.S. Khairnar co-founded LKP System Engineers Pvt. Ltd., a leader in automation solutions, specializing in VFD and PLC-based SCADA systems, control panel automation, and industrial instrumentation.
His leadership was instrumental in delivering impactful projects across various sectors, including public utilities, steel, pharmaceuticals, and Indian Railways. Now, as the founder and CEO of Captron Industries, D.S. Khairnar is focused on harnessing solar energy to contribute to India’s 2060 carbon-neutral goal.
Captron offers a wide range of solar solutions, including on-grid systems, solar water pumps, solar street lights, and EV chargers. With a strong commitment to green energy, he is dedicated to reducing carbon footprints and accelerating the transition to a zero-emission future.
